Worth the $110 for the dock. Wish it could run in the background. And when on a baseball game would it be that hard for a diamond with base runner indicators along wth the score?

Needs Time Shifting... 4/5 Great System
First off - this is an app made for an XM system, so if you are rating negatively because you don't want to buy a skydock - GTFO. Review: Great layout and functionality. Please program some time shifting functionality so this can compare to my Sirius Sportster :) love the fact you can transmit iPod music as well! And this is to Apple - let this app run in the background!!!

Good but not yet great...
I've had Skydock for about 5 months. I like the app but it needs a few improvements: I like to toggle between a couple of my favorites. What I REALLY do is listen to one station and monitor whats playing on the other without having to turn to it until something I want to hear comes on. Skydock doesn't make this easy. 1. You can't rearrange the order of what's in favorites without removing them and re-adding them in the order you want. 2. I do like the "show favorites" list for quick launch but you can't monitor what's playing on your other stations from there. 3. So, whenever I want to monitor a couple different stations, I use the upper right arrow to view channels by category which also lists what's playing on each one. However, if I go to my favorites category and select something, and tap the upper right arrow again, it does not default back to my favorites list. It defaults to the XM category the channel that's currently playing is a part of. I have to swipe to get to favorites again since the channels I monitor aren't from the same category. This process is certainly not ideal since it all happens while I'm in the car. Yeah, yeah, yeah...safety first, which is why I want the developers to make this easier. 1. Let me change the order favorites 2. Allow the upper right arrow category viewer to default to show favorites first (in the order you have them in)

Useful and solid
This app and the skydock do what it is I wanted by getting the sound to the car audio but the FM sound quality is lacking. Like was mentioned in other reviews, I experience the compression surge as well. I want to try aux connection to see if that is any better

Very satisfied
When I bought my jeep I decided to try the sky dock rather than use my old Delphi. I couldn't be happier. My jeep has an aux in and the sound quality is amazing. Blows the old delphi's away. And since the jeep has a soft top there was no way to mount the antenna to the roof so I velcro'd it to the dash. There are absolutely no issues with reception whatsoever. Installation was a cinch and took 10-15 minutes. It took longer to transfer my service on the phone only because the rep didn't speak English too well. It's a pain if you get a call or text, but I got around that by using my old first generation iPhone. Just downloaded the app, plugged it on and it fired right up. It's nice that old phone can come in handy instead of gathering dust. The only upgrade O can think of I'd like to see is some kind of remote. I miss being able to scan other channels while I'm driving, and you can't change channels while you're driving with this thing, but overall still a 5 star app...

Sky Dock
I bought a used car that did not have an iPod dock. Also, although there was a button on the radio for satellite, a receiver and antenna had never been installed. It would have cost me $600 for the receiver and antenna alone. An iPod dock was another $150-200. Radio Shack told me about the Sky Dock for $99 for iPhone and iTouch. The XM app was free. Connection was easy. Since my 12v socket was in the console I bought a socket extender for $12.00. Now I have terrific satellite radio reception in my car and it charges the iPhone (I had upgraded to 3GS so I had an extra phone -- I'm using the old one in the car as an iTouch). The socket extender made it readily visible. It is a cinch to use. Activation and usage charges as usual with Sirius/XM.
