1 hotspot in Mpls, MN
There's only one hotspot in Minneapolis, MN. So I actually haven't REALLY used the app. I used it enough to find out I can't use it. But if I ever go to Philly . . .

Love it
I was surprised how many hot spots Philadelphia has. Everywhere I go in Philly the app pickups for me the hot spot is like you have data in you plan. Which i don't but with this app don't need one.

Hot Spots Need Info/Labels
Hot spots need location labels, especially business names for indoor spots. The spot map is unhelpful without this information, getting you only partly there. Having to look up addresses in another map program to determine the business or public location is too cumbersome. Additional business info or type is also needed, particularly for indoor spots. For example, there's an indoor spot plotted at a very small photo processing business near me...this is not a place I'd plan to work from for an hour. App potential is promising, but more robust database information for each spot is essential.

Xfinity WiFi Locator
No locations found for South Florida, which is a huge metropolitan area from Palm Beach County, Broward County and Dade County. And you really mean to tell me that after. 7.62Mb "update" on the database that still no Xfinity WiFi hotspots could be located as a PAYING Xfinity customer? Shame on the app developer on a huge way! :-( I am going to remove the app as it only consumes precious space on my iPhone and serves zero purpose, and YOU the reader should heed this warning by not wasting your time to download this app as it too shall waste your time and storage space on your mobile device. To the moron who said that this app is a step in the right direction, I'd like to know in which "right" direction since 99% of people out there are very self opinionated and think their belief is better than the other person's.

Reality Check, Please
Two actually - First reality check is for those one-star reviewers complaining that its only for Xfinity subscribers - yes, it is. Its not advertised as a free WiFi hotspot guide. There are other apps for that. Second reality check is for the database itself. It needs to include the business name and correct SSID for indoor hotspots. For example, my gym's address shows up as having an indoor access point. That is technically true, but the SSID is not "xfinity" as noted in the app and you need to be a member of the gym to go inside and use it. Some database cleanup is needed.
