I think this app is great for what I expected it to do - it is a visually stimulating fantastic mobile database and digital damage tracker. Don't expect the app to do things it doesn't claim to do. Plusses: Great visuals - Seeing the virtual cards really help me piece together ideas over simple text and incomplete information. Quick Reference Rules - No flipping through the stereo instruction-type rulebook. Virtual Damage Tracking - Much easier and cleaner than marking cards. Theme lists - I like being able to see what a theme list does w/o having to carry around books or open webpages. Negs: No theme list or contract filtering - I understand allowing people to build any army they want, but if I want to be limited, actually limit me. Unnecessary connecting for solo games. - I love being able to use the app in solo mode, but I see no point in connecting to the server if I am not sharing information. I am using an iPad3 and have been able to share lists, and I do not crash unless I let my battery get to 10%. Don't listen to ridiculous complaints without knowing their systems and situations. This is a great app that will continue to get professional support for a very complex database. Definitely give it a try, expect errors on older devices.

Good idea - what happened? - v1.0.7
Among the other issues already listed in numerous ratings, there is no method to sort the created lists. Not by date, faction, caster, points, nothing. What happened to the standard Iphone drag and drop conventions? Spell Martyr for legion is a solo, but it was listed in UA. So in armies there is a problem linking it up as attachments as it must associate with a unit, crashed my devices. Now it doesn't show the Spell Martyr as an existing card even though I have the ultimate bundle. It's good to have the cards, but buggy buggy program. It's got a long way to go to catch up with same level of value from the free retired ibodger. Come on PP, please help us out here.

Digital card collection, not an army builder
What it does well: Nice-looking cards, digital damage marking is fun, quick-click rules reference is fantastic, seeing your opponents cards in-game might be nice. What it does not do well: build armies. To quote their FAQ: War Room does not calculate my theme-force tier benefits, allows me to go over point limits, exceed FA, and attach attachments to any unit or model. There is no theme force or army list validation or collection management. For myself, I'm fine with physical cards but came to rely on iBodger as an army builder. I'll probably not spend any money on this app until a lot more functionality is added. Should probably rate it lower, but I don't want to hurt Privateer, and who knows, maybe in time it will live up to its promise.

Ambitious and practical
Does exactly what I need it to do for the price, cheaper than a deck of printed cards and more accessible. The other features are passable and given all the apps virgin shortcomings work fine for the low low price of free. Also, as a new player, the rules prompts right from cards is beyond useful. Slow to load, and prone to crash, it needs some TLC, but I think for as ambitious as it is it's good enough and only likely to improve.

Sadly, this does not teplace iBodger. The list maker is very poor and has no validation. Points are wrong half the time and does not allow you to add some valid models. Lacks iBodger's collection function. You cannot restrict your list choices based on what you own. Actually you cannot restrict at all, no validation. When they banned iBodger there was an expectation this would replace it. Not so. This is an expensive, slow, clunky, poorly designed app to look at poorly edited cards.

Slow, tedious, needs substantial improvements
A pretty poor app, in fact, it doesn't feel finished. In stark contrast to a proper app, this is very slow and control/interface is cumbersome at best. It looks good, but just isn't a helpful tool.
