Very buggy
I have an IPad 2 running IOS 6.1.3 Pros: * I like being able to increase the size of the font. Makes the paper easier to read. * Convenient. Problems: * Frequently, crashes at least once during a viewing session. * Uses a significant amount of battery * Rendering is painfully slow. * I inadvertently hit the Additions link on the right hand side. When I tried to exit out by tapping the 'x' button, an error message saying 'you must be signed in to close this page' was displayed. This is ridiculous. Bottom line - I wish I could find a different reader!!!

This app is painfully slow. So slow, in fact, that it's unusable. I've subscribed to the paper edition for countless years and I'm happy to make the digital transition. But, give me an option that works!

Problems with reading PDF offline
This app needs to be updated. I can not read previously downloaded content without an Internet connection on my iPod touch 4th generation. After a pop up window indicates that there is no Internet, I close the window and am rewarded (!?) with a blank, white screen and no news pages. An email to the PD went unanswered and a subsequent call a week later was unproductive in solving the problem. The customer service rep merely logged my complaint. I am not even sure that she had any technical background to completely understand the issue. I don't mind reading the paper electronically, but I would like the app to work. I wish the PD could once again be opened in the iBook app (as this past July before the switch). The iBook app actually worked, both offline and online. Not impresses with the PD app.

Bad App, Poor Support
The only thing worse than this app crashing all time when I swipe a page is the BS I receive from support through email. "Just download it again","power off right after you download but before you use it". Really? What's next; download only during a full moon? I use WSJ and NYT among other news apps with no issues. If you want the PD, this is your only choice and that's sad.

Worst functionality I have encountered - the design team is incompetent and management clueless. Did anyone beta test this monstosity?
