Change the app or cancel my subscription ...
It seems as if they searched the app world for a source to power the PD, and chose the worst available option. Far from intuitive, it is klutzy and slow, and I find little to like. Logging in, for example, required a password change - they sent me a new password - and there is nowhere on the app to change it to something I will ever hope to remember. Typefaces are too small to read in full page view, and zooming in and out takes time to load. Navigation by article is difficult. Did anyone at the PD actually use this app before they launched it? If they can't come out with something better - soon - I will cancel my PD subscription.

Very poor app
I was able to read the paper once only after I downloaded the app. Now no matter how I try I cannot look at today's paper again. I can't believe that we are only allowed to look at the paper one time a day. I'll have to see if it lets me read tomorrow's paper. I absolutely hate how this app works. When you have an actual paper in your home you can read it whenever you want. This app locks you out after one reading. What happens if you need to look up a death notice later in the day? I can't believe we are paying for this!! The Plain Dealer needs to do something about this NOW!!!

Start over from scratch
This app is passable as a supplement to the physical paper, but it is completely inadequate as THE Plain Dealer when home delivery stops this summer except for several days a week. I like digital anything and can tolerate little quirks, and I read the PD's iPad app regularly. But I can't imagine the average reader giving up their physical paper in favor of this! The PD needs to think this whole thing through from scratch. Look at the New York Times, both its app and its HTML5 website. Or the Wall Street Journal. Or others. This is an utter dog by comparison. I also find the latest update buggy. At times all I get is a white screen. I have to quit the app or push buttons a while to get it back.

Worse app ever
What the......is with this plain dealer app. You want us to switch to the e-edition and this is what you give us? This app is horrible. I don't know where to start. It is very out dated compared to other new paper apps, and it flat out does not work. I downloaded the app, made the in app purchase of weekly for $3.99, then when I am logged in it tells me my subscription does not allow me to view the paper. WHAT???? It was an in app purchase, how is that possible? I have sent 7 emails in 3 months to the plain dealer and never got a response, not 1. Someone had to approve this app. I have read a total of 2 news papers in those 3 months. The bad thing is when the app did work prior to this last update it was still a bad 1 star app. Of all the people who where just laid off the developers of this app should have been first. Thankfully apple refunded my money because i sent several trouble tickets over that time. They refunded me with no hassle at all. Save your money, and save yourself the aggravation. Stay away from this amateur hour app

Stay away
This app has so much potential but is very frustrating now and is not worth the money. Before the app update this was a good app. Now whenever you want to do anything within the app it takes you to the login page. It is now very hard to read past issues when it was very simple before. The person responsible for this latest update should be fired. I was happily paying weekly for the last 2 months and I just canceled due to this horrible app.
