Excellent play quality
Very fun game. Excellent graphics, music and game strategy. Much better than the original Sparkle because everything is larger. Now that the play area has larger graphics the play area is much easier to see and play on. This single improvement makes this game worth while. Great action and power ups.

Sparkle 2
I love the original Sparkle. Unlike the original this one is less challenging. I admit it is fun, the music is great, and the look is beautiful. But as a game, it's relatively boring in comparison to the original. I'll keep at it. May be my opinion will change over time.

Good game, though not quite as fun as the original.
I was excited to see the release of Sparkle 2. The original Sparkle is a favorite of mine, and I still return to it, even after completing the game multiple times. The sequel offers the same sort of gameplay, the same smooth physics, and the same attention to graphic detail. It's a beautiful game, no doubt. But rather than going beyond the original, it comes up short when it comes to inviting repeat gameplay. In the original, you could take on the entire journey at three different difficulty levels... in this game there is only one. Once you finish the mission, you're done. It doesn't even give you the option to start over... if you try, it tells you that you've completed the mission and can now use the Achievement and Survival modes. With those two modes, as well, there is less on offer. In the original, the Challenge mode let you return as often as you like and try to beat your previous record... in the Achievement mode of the new game, once you complete all the levels, they're done. There's no way to go back and improve them. The graphics and effects are bigger and fancier... and as a result, the size of the app has increased significantly -- from 15MB to 188MB. And I find that in Sparkle 2, I more often run into levels where I repeatedly hit the pause button by accident, because the marble course runs so close to it. If I return to one of the two games, it will be the original. Sparkle 2 is fun, but after a couple days of obsessive playing, I've completed it all and it's not inviting me back. One plus... the music & sfx volume settings now persist from session to session. I always hoped for that in the original.
