BBE Sonic max app
By far the best song enhancer ever. The overall tone is like you are there. It's what the apple iTunes Player should have had. Thank you.

Amazing especially with audiophile earbuds
Really amazing - but you only hear it's true capabilities with something like Etymotics and a CMoy amp.

Sounds bad on good headphones
If you've got a nice set of in-ear monitors, the sound from this app will disappoint you. I used to have a Cowon J3, and the implementation of BBE in the music interface was superb. This is sub-par, with unintuitive knobs for tweaking instead of presets and sliders like the Cowon. Don't bother, it sounds worse than the stock music app and with much more hassle. To the app-maker: take a look at the Cowon J3. Now THAT's how you do BBE.

As a professional musician, I have used BBE's pro audio gear for years. This player has the same great sound quality that BBE is known for. If you don't know what BBE is known for, it's still a great player. I will explain it to you like it was explained to me the first time I saw a piece of BBE gear in another musicians rack. He told me that it's like taking a blanket off of your speaker cabinet. With SonicMax, I can hear all of the little nuances of the music. It's like hearing your favorite songs again for the first time. Fair warning, though. You will spend lots of time listening to music the next few days!
