Free only to view google docs
It let's you pretend to edit them but then does not autosave like google docs online, instead prompts you to pay for the privilege of saving your changes. Description made it sound like google docs was free and you pay to export to M$ Office formats however this is not the case.

Just tell us the price
This may be the best app in the world, but I'll never know because I refuse to buy anything from someone who won't tell me the price. Please don't use the bait and switch of advertising that something is free and then charge within the application. I won't buy it because I don't know what the total cost of this application is. It's not free, so just tell us the price up front. If you want people to test it first, just offer a free lite version and give a price with the fully functional application.

I am SHOCKED anyone could say something bad about this! Finally we have a program that brings biz and the iPhone together. Yeah. $6 for an Office Suite and people are complaining? Huh? It worked perfectly the first time I bought it. And was and is great for creating files on the fly when your laptop is not fired up. Jotted some items and costs in excel and fired it off via email in seconds! LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They will get you in the end
Apparently, you have to pay an additional 5.99 to save your docs (and I mean this AFTER you already paid 5.99 for the paid version of this app, not this freebie. So, in essence, these guys are a bunch of slick tricksters. And it appears they are the few who wrote good reviews in the paid app since none of the positive reviews wrote anything about that. A bit strange wouldn't you agree?

Best value for editing .doc and .xls files
First of all, ignore any review that complains about not being able to save - then read the rest of this review and others. I have been debating which app to buy for editing MS Office files for a long time. I liked the idea of trying this app for free, then purchasing the full app if I liked it. Integration with dropbox and google docs was quick and easy. The features are very good for a mobile app. After fiddling and testing a few docs and spreadsheets, I was very happy, but thought it would be nice to freeze panes on a small screen. Then I discovered that I could slide the toolbar and see more tools - including freeze panes. In free mode, I could do everything except save and I was able to give the app a good test. It is fast, stable and has a rich feature set. This is definitely worth $6 to add saving; especially when comparing it to similar apps that cost $10-$15 and have no option to try before you buy. I did find that the app had trouble with an excel file with very advanced formatting and formulas. I imagine most or all mobile apps would have similar problems as the file uses some obscure functions. This app has 112 excel functions which ranks up there with any other app.
