Much improved interface
Great update! The app is much cleaner and simpler to use. I like the side swipe addition and return of pull to refresh!

Frustrating App!
This is alternately one of the best news apps and resources, and the most frustrating user experience of all apps I have tried. Text links in articles are constantly triggered accidentally when swiping to read. Links are too sensitive. There should be an option to turn off or require a double tap before taking me to external web page.

Offline access?
Was offline access removed intentionally or is that a bug? The newsstand icon had a "1" indicating that new content had been downloaded (nytimes is the only thing in my newsstand), but when I looked at it this morning in the subway, tapping a section would tell me that I needed an internet connection, and no content was available.

New text size feature REALLY BAD!?? It's not a matter of getting accostumed to iOS 7. PLEASE FIX!!!
At first I thought that the new text size/dynamic zoom feature wasn't working properly -- then I realized that I had already adjusted it to the biggest size, and it was still way too small! Meanwhile, the text on my other apps became ridicuously large. The largest NYT font is physcially smaller than the corresponding font size on Apple's native apps, and the fact that one is Times Roman and the other is sans serif doesn't make up the difference. Even if they were the same size it would be a problem. Users need to be able to set their NYT font to a larger size b/c NYT is a READING app. If you're typing a text message, the phone is going to be right in your face. If you're reading an article, it's probably going to be closer to your lap -- but since you're going to hold it at various distances (especially for subscribers who mostly read on the subway and are constantly playing twister with our phones and fellow straphangers) you need to be able to adjust the font size within the app.

REQUIRES iOS 7
Always a very bad idea to abandon customers not choosing to drink the Apple koolaid. Please update your app to support iOS 6 as well.

Font size won't change in OS7
It is not possible to make a larger font in OS7 even if you go to settings and raise the font size. The NYT app does not respond. Hard to read an article on the iPhone on the Metro these days.
