Do not upgrade!!!
Too expensive. The new version blocks you out after you've read three articles and even if you have a web and tablet subscription you have to pay $20 more for the smartphone subscription. Not worth it! Really frustrating though, you're already paying for the content and then all of the sudden they want you to pay for access to it on your phone. Also, there's ads... Even though you're already paying for the content! Corporate greed!

No more full screen viewing?!?
Now I have to look at a useless toolbar at the top of my screen in addition to a advertisement bar at the bottom of my screen advertising who knows what. There should be no advertisements on an app I'm paying a monthly subscription fee for. But taking away full screen viewing? Who makes these decisions?

Why can't you find my account?
I use this app multiple times a day. I don't subscribe to my hometown newspaper, only this one. Thank you for putting in Search, it has helped me a few times, it's great that it searches your site. Now my complaint is that you can't find my home delivery subscription and are limiting me to 3 articles a day. Is it because you want dashes in the phone number, but pop up the phone dialing keypad instead of the regular one? I'll have to find my account number on my laptop. No, that wasn't the problem, I had the same issue on the website where I could use dashes. You should suggest login before am searching for subscription. Many if us are already linked.

The app keeps logging me out!
It keeps telling me I'm a non-subscriber. This has not happened before but has been a consistent problem the past few weeks. Fix please!

Irritating scrolling ads
On iPhone, there is so little room for copy as it is. A static ad is one thing, but the constantly scrolling variety is simply obnoxious. Flipping for my attention does not change the fact that I have no interest in the product on offer.

Awful! Can't save articles...
This update removed the function to save articles - so frustrating that a great app got a lot worse! NYT no longer my go to news app!
