Works great
The app does exactly what it is supposed to. I see some revives saying that after an update it is harder to change the temp, this is not true. You can do it by touching the top and bottom of the screen as well as holding and rotating.

If you have not updated.. Don't.
The app with the latest update still barely connects. Why can't this get resolved?

Great purchase
Easier to install than anticipated and this app works really well, able to change all settings from anywhere... I don't have any connection issues though my Internet and router are decent to above quality so I shouldn't have disconnecting issues anyways!

Weird update
Why remove the buttons to adjust the temp? It's not a physical object. I like the idea of push notifications regarding my thermostat. Use your permissions wisely, nest!

Bad temp controls, good otherwise
Love my nest and love the app. ...except for the temperature controls. The old up/down chevrons were *much* easier to use. Can't use the spin-the-wheel control with any degree of accuracy. :(

Getting Worse with Age
A few months ago, I would have given this app 4 or 5 stars. It was working really well for me and I had no complaints. Then with the recent 3.5.0 update, things took a turn for the worse. + The Nest now frequently disconnects, which makes the app useless, especially remotely. This isn't really the app's fault, but I do believe that Nest's recent firmware upgrade has played a role. + When the device is connected, it sometimes refuses to register my changes, for example when I change the temp to turn off the air conditioning. It just decides to keep cooling... I'm not sure if this the app's or the actual Nest firmware's fault. + Speaking of changing the temperature, for some unknown reason, they changed the control for changing the temperature on the dials from the simple straight-forward arrows (above and below the temperature thresholds) to God knows what. I still haven't been able to figure out the correct way to tap or twist my fingers to make the temperature threshold move in the direction I want it to the first time. If I keep tapping around enough it usually gets there, but I consider this a major regression in usability, which is annoying for the expensive toy that this is. All in all, the 3.5+ versions have added no value for me and have made some things considerably worse, which is really disappointing to see coming from a premium consumer tech firm.
