Absolutely AMAZING
I have zero complaints. Everything is perfect... If you do your research and make sure that your router is compatible with the Nest then you will have ZERO connectivity issues. Also go in and play with the features of this and you can adjust a lot of it according to your lifestyle. I turned the learning schedule off and just programmed my own schedule into it for how I personally like my home for when I'm there or away... That eliminates the bad reviews anyone has read about with the random cold or hot flashes from the unit. So if you don't have one definitely make this a priority for something so simple to save $$$ with

I have 2 of the second generation units. Every thing was working fine. Or so I thought. I got mine as soon as the 2nd generation was available last year. They were simple to install and every thing was going smooth until about 2 months ago when the house got too warm. I noticed the downstairs unit was cycling too often. I called a a/c service tech (thought the unit was low on freon). The tech checked everything out and found the unit to be fine but the thermostat was not sending a constant enough current to keep the unit running. --suggested using the original thermostat -- I called Nest customer service and they gave me the runaround and even told me to change the wire of the thermostat to capo for heat and set the unit for a high temp, so as to make sure it would stay in a demand mode, the unit ran constantly. --nothing wrong with unit.-- Something is seriously wrong. I WOULD NOT BUY AGAIN.

Strange, cumbersome UI
All the functionality is there, but the UI is very strange and clunky--it feels like their UI designer is trying too hard to make the app appear nice instead of focusing on usability. Here's why: 1) Some functions are only accessible during landscape mode. (Just make all functions accessible from either UI orientation) 2) The away function is buried and is only accessible in landscape mode. (The away function is an important one and I shouldn't have to rotate the device, then touch the house, and then finally touch the switch in order to activate it) 3) There is a lot of wasted real estate on the main view, they have a giant house and a little thermostat at the bottom. (Get rid of the house, make the thermostat the most important feature, make commonly used functions accessible from the main view) I'll leave it there; IMHO the UI needs a complete redesign. I hope Nest app designers took design notes at WWDC 2013, usability and deference are now the key design principles of the upcoming iOS7 and it will be a great opportunity for Nest to update this app.

Nest iPhone app needs more features.
I like the fact the web page shows the humidity in the room where the nest is installed. It's a bummer that the app doesn't have this feature. Also as a previous reviewer wrote, it would be cool if the app could plot the temperature in the room hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, etc.
