I have to say, I'm not one to jailbrake my iPhone, so having access to an application like this is nothing short of brilliant. Albeit, I wish I didn't have to forward my mail. Don't get me wrong, I understand how the process works, and that it's secure, etc, etc. But...

Fab app
Set up from gmail was easy, now I have better email sounds - I know its my iPhone that's got the mail, and often I even know who its from! A good add to my iPhone. Well done!

Mail forwarding!!!!
If I had realized that I would have to forward my mail to get notifications, I never would have purchased this app. Wish I could get a refund.

adds push notification... but only for things I care about
The most useful thing about this app for me is the fact that I can set up filters for what I want to be notified about -- and have it remain silent for all other mail. I get roughly 50+ email every day... but only really want my phone to beep when: - my wife sends an email (I configured MailTones to play a 'boing' sound) - something happens on Facebook that triggers an email notification (MailTones plays a soft 'drip' sound) - a server goes down at work and I get an automated email saying that we need to get it back up ASAP (which triggers a loud 'alarm siren') ...and all other email events that I have determined as 'non-critical' are silent. And since I can customize the tone that plays for each contact or email subject, I know the nature of the incoming message without ever looking at my phone. My one request would be to add a filter setting for the 'importance' flag on an email (which would play a defined tone that would override any other custom tone). But even without that functionality, I find this app incredibly useful.

I got mail
Fantastically useful app. I can listen out for important emails from work and home now without having to check every 5 minutes or so and ignore the rest till later. Great UI, easy to use. Simple and excellent.

What a joke...
If you use Yahoo Mail, then BUYER BEWARE!!! Mail forwarding is only available to Yahoo Mail+ users. Even then, this is a useless application becaise Yahoo Mail+ takes an "all or nothing" approach to auto-forwarding your email...if you decide to use the feature, you must forward ALL of your email to a single address (i.e. your email is no longer stored on the Yahoo Mail servers). To use this application, you would have to forward all of your mail to the "@Mailtones" which would give you the push notifications and tones, but your mail would disapear into the ether forever. WASTE OF MONEY.

This is what I have been waiting for!
Finally an app that lets you choose different tones for your incoming mail! I work outside, and so many times I have not been able to hear the standard mail notification sound because it is so low. This is great, and also including push notifications! I now have push notification on my gmail, and my regular work pop3 account! Doesn't get any better than this. Nice job guys on this app!
