I hate it.
It was very beautiful design before. And it is ugly now. I miss real book design.

Updated for iOS 7. Yay?
I know the new mantra for Apple is to kill off any sort of skeuomorphism but the aesthetics of iBooks always felt right. It never left me feeling like I was just reading some digital file off of a tablet. This update removes any vestige of the old look and feel leaving only that all too familiar 'frosted glass' feeling. It comes off feeling cheap and generic. Yes the app works just fine. I'm able to read my old books and PDFs just fine. Really, other than the cosmetic changes, I see nothing new. No new features or additions. The best part? iBooks STILL lacks the ability to auto sort by title, author, or any other order you'd like. But hey, skeuomorphism is dead right? Yay...

Yet Another Poor Update
Apple is on a roll. Taking out the depth of its previous designs, flattening them, brightening the background, and removing the shading. The blindingly bright background makes your content that much harder to see. The presentation is flat with little depth and separation between content. It is just a mess. "Upgrade" is not recommended.
