Hideous icon
In keeping with the ugly update, apple has exchanged a good-looking icon for a cartoony, cheap-appearing one. The new bookshelf is overly bright and harsh on the eyes. Again, you really missed the aesthetic mark!

New design stinks
This new ios7 design is yet another great "improvement" by Team Apple (who, based on their idiot designs, are apparently arrogant, misanthropic, three old children). What a piece of crap. Can't wait to switch over to Microsoft Surface.

I retract my previous statement.
I like the new iBooks look and feel. Especially how the buttons while reading books are on the pages. But for the people who don't like the plain white color, maybe add a blur effect that reveals the home screen wallpaper, like in the Reminders app.

I don't really understand the love of the ugly book shelf. The app did not look at home on a modern device. The switch from library to store is so much more elegant and smooth now. The big ugly blocky 3d shelf flip can rest in peace. The "stark white" is just chrome giving way to content. It makes perfect sense. Please keep up the good work.

Where's the wooden bookshelf?
The new update is terrible. I hate not having the wooden bookshelf; the shelves look so plain and ugly now.

Really?! The icon is ugly and I get the whole plain thing but I really like my wood shelves and book store. This app blows right now... Wish I never updated.
