Not worth the money
The free game is just the same as paid game.

Gin rummy pro
Hate, hate that the most difficult opponent 99 % of time only picks up or always keeps low card discards so they can knock. I love to try to get a gin but must always knock because pro opponent holds all the low cards and especially if you need a certain low card for gin you KNOW they will never discard one only going for a low hand so they can knock!

Not good
Don't waste your time or money. The easy difficult mode is way to easy and the normal mode is too hard because you really don't have a chance to even apply strategy as if you don't have a good enough hand to knock after the first 10 cards are drawn from the deck, the computer will win.

Typical AI Advantage With Cards
Bought the paid version because the free version said it had three levels of difficulty. The difference in levels of difficulty isn't strategy based. It's based on the AI getting death better cards faster than you ever realistically would. Frequent one and two draw knocks. App is a joke. If you must use it, stick with free version. Not worth the $1.99.

I have played 2 games...!!! And the hounding has begun. All I want is a simple game of gin which this is. You, the writers, seem to be rather insecure in your ability to write code. You did fine but am only giving you 3 stars because of the comments above.

The game layout and appearance are good and I like the fact that the calculations are done for you. The easy mode is too easy while the hard gives you starting hands no matches while your opponent only needs one or two cards to win. Your opponent is predictable and plays the same way in all modes - takes anything you discard and hoards them until they will no longer work, making it is easy for you to reclaim a discard or catch "them" with a full hand. They are also easy to sucker into an undercut with a low card discard. That being said, I still continue to play, but I almost always win.

Many of you have commented about how this game doesn't show your runs and sets as most games do. Guess what? On my iPhone, they don't show up. On my iPad, they do show up. What is that all about? The physics are still poor--leaving the same pins when the ball hits certain pins like the 5-7 and 5-10, leaving bizarre combinations like the 5-7-10 and the 2-4-7-10. There are more that needs corrected in this game, but the authors don't seem to be correcting them.

Another Step Down...
For quite awhile this game has been unrealistically entertaining, so when it suddenly reverted to the Master (read unbeatable) again, I detected the little paw prints of a recently graduated programmer. Now the computer wins most hands in two turns. Ah well...

If you want close to real gin, play medium. Unfortunately, playing at the "hard" level the game takes liberties and the hands played out in one, two, or three turns outweighs the odds of doing so in extreme favor of the game. The cards draw seemingly favor the game. When the game plays first turn, it never plays usable cards, which totally is against the odds.while entertaining, it becomes frustrating, when game is grossly biased in favor of the game's player.
