DejaOffice is slipping
This product used to be much better. I now find it very slow - especially the calendar, which takes 8-10 seconds to react to my input. If an update fixes this, I would add a star to my rating.

Needs Work ...
The program shows a lot of promise! The sync is just not reliable. It looks like its there, but None of my data would sync accurately, not Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, or Notes. Also, Tasks do not have pop up alarms. They do support the product and set up a couple of support phone sessions. Just will not sync accurately and that is worse than not syncing at all! After 2 months of trying to make this work I was ready to trade my new iPhone in for a Blackberry. I just got an app called TaskTask up and running. It works and it works good!!

If you're unsure about getting this become sure.
It just works. Easily sinks up to Outlook. Calendar, tasks, contacts, memos. Complete with categories, alarms, etc. and when it doesn't work as expected you call them and they pick up and help get you unstuck. I'm running 900+ contacts, 100+ tasks with about a dozen categories, ~10 memos of varying sizes. Makes the iPhone an extension of your desktop.

****************Fantastic!! ******************
I have been a Palm user for 15 years. Finally moved from my Treo to iPhone. This program is amazing and, coupled with CompanionLink, allows me to continue to use Palm Desktop for Windows, which I love, and keep my iPhone in sync with this. Transferred all my Palm data (calendar, contacts etc) perfectly. Tech support is extremely helpful. Both Deja Office and CompanionLink HIGHLY recommended!!!!!

Review three for Deja Office
I've written two previous reviews of Deja Office, the first positive and the second less so because of the apps instability. There has been another update since then and I wanted to revise my thoughts in fairness to DejaOffice and Companionlink. DejaOffice is the only app that links easily with ACT via Companionlink's desktop app that you have pay for. I've always felt it was worth it since back in my Palm Pilot Days linking to Agendus. After about a month using the new version, it seems stable and I don't think much about the process anymore. I tell it to sync and it does it. A few weeks ago, I had a major disaster with my ACT database and had to rebuild from scratch. I did so by syncing my DejaOffice copy of the file to a new ACT database with no problem. The app has a lot of potential and I would recommend it if nothing else as portable back up to your ACT database. 11/8/12 -- Let me follow up with my thoughts on Deja Office having used it for several months now. It continues to work seemlessly with my Act on my desktop. The connection between ACT and Deja Office is far far more stable than any connection with Outlook. That includes direct ACT to Outlook, ACT to Outlook through Companionlink Professional, ACT to Outlook to Pocket Informant (and back) any way I've tried it. Here is my "system". When I get to work in the morning, if I've made changes in Deja Office since I last backed up, I sync with ACT. If I have not made changes, I open ACT, let ACT update my tasks and calls automatically (moving yesterday's tasks and call to today), make any other changes I may need and then sync with Deja Office. At the end of the day I sync again before leaving the office. Make changes on Deja Office at home if I need to (adding kids band concerts, etc) and then repeat the next morning. It works for me. The biggest draw back to Deja Office is that it is not as "pretty" as other apps. I would think they would begin to clean that up. I really like the Today view that shows Meetings, Calls, Tod Dos AND CONTACTS on the same page. Please don't change that!
