Now that most of the major iOS7 bugs are fixed, this is back to being my favorite for the iPad! Thank you so much!

Easy and hard
Good combination of simple gameplay and just not being able to win. Keeps you coming back

Still fabulous
I bought and played this game on PC many years ago. Haven't played it years, and I am loving it all over again!

I don't like strategy games or civilization, but there was something about this game (lite version) that made me buy it before I even got thru the whole tutorial. It's really fun, and the more you think about each turn, the depth of the overall strategic elements emerge like magic.

Love this game!
Now that it's been upgraded for the latest iOS, the app is working great. The game is unique, challenging, and offers multiple skill levels. I never get tired of playing. We'll worth the price!

Deep and interesting
Endless replay value due to (mostly) well-balanced levels. I appreciate that wins are not a given, even with optimal strategy. This has become my go-to game when I have a few minutes downtime.

I bought this as a PC game years ago. I loved it enough to buy it again for iPad.

I keep coming back to this one
An outstanding turn-based strategy game, with enough depth to keep you coming back. It's still accessible enough for beginners, though, with a well-thought-out trajectory for increasing the game's complexity. There is variety: the game doesn't have just one sort of problem, but several interconnected problems. A good deal of the fun is learning which problem most needs your attention in a particular battle. The game makes good use of the space available on the iPad--everything is always visible. It plays well on the mini. The random elements are great enough that you'll get some unwinnable (and sometimes unsurvivable) battles on the "insane" level. I don't mind this--why play a game you're sure to win? It would be nice if the game had a way to unlock a replay function so you could retry the really difficult battles to see if there is any way they could have been beaten. I'm a bit less enthusiastic about the game's one twitchy element, where you have only a couple of seconds to deploy your troops, but at least you are allowed to gather your thoughts before the time starts.

Solid, Simple, Deep Srategy Game
As the title states, DotO is a pretty engaging strategy game. It's quick enough to be pick-up-and-play, but chances are time will fly as you move from one randomly generated level to the next.
