The two most disappointing parts of this app are that the photos are all from google images and the navigation is terribly clumsy. The descriptions are taken straight out of the Audubon field guides, so if you already own their paper guide I would pass on this app. Otherwise it's the only full tree guide currently in the app store, so take it or leave it.

Very helpful app
Very helpful tool for hikes, camping, or general outdoor field reference. Great ro take the i-Pad and this tool along. A wealth of information with good approach for quick ID. Highly recommend.

I paid good money for this app!
I paid good money for this app. At the time the database was relatively small but I bought it in good faith. I am using a second generation iPhone 3g that can only run iOS 4.2.1. All the new updates are no longer available to me. I can't imagine any special feature of iOS 4.3 that this app needs. One star because I can no longer use the app.

Poorlymade, poorly maintained
Lacks most of the native western coast trees, and has usually only one photo for a tree, which is pretty much useless. For a ten dollar ap, I was extremely disappointed, especially when my free ap out-performs audubon on regally basis.
