Wonderful app
The search tool utilizing description of the bird works very well. Much better than TID function on other Audubon guides that I have used.

This app is great!
I use it frequently in the field. I love that you can also view similar birds, which helps in identification.

Great App. Easy to use!
This app worked great and I was able to identify two birds right off. The only drawback is you need a fast WiFi connection as it is a big file.

Gorgeous for looking and identifying with severely flawed...
reliability and ease of use as a tool to record one's sightings. Still, as I said, it's one gorgeous app if you're wanting it more for eye candy than as a journaling or listing tool, so, knowing that, I never use it for input these days.

Love This App, Some Suggestions
I love this app! My understanding is that NatureShare and Audubon have partnered and as such is more responsible for the sighting portion of the application, as opposed to the bird identification portion of the application. I was using the bird identification app before this partnership and only used it for the identification and not the sightings (don't really know if Audubon had something like this in place before or not). Now I am transitioning my bird info as in Life Lists and sightings from paper into the electronic format as for me being able to site a bird at the site is wonderful!! My comments are that the app as it is now with the sighting portion is not very user friendly out of the box. It takes quite a bit of time to get use to it. And some kind of app tutorial needs to be in place. How to do the sightings and what everything means would eliminate a lot of trial and error time with the app originally. Add more quick buttons for the user. There should be a filter by state when you are trying to locate birds or review sightings. As for me my birding is in the Pacific Northwest (WA, OR) and I want to see bird sightings in those states not weed through each sighting in the hopes of stumbling onto bird sightings in my area. I would like to be able to add my own photo to my bird sightings and then edit them like with a photo update but can't seem to figure that out. So I don't know if this feature exits or not. I worked with NatureShare customer service trying to figure out how the new version worked to allow me to use the sighting portion of the app. They were awesome! Excellent customer service and efficiently worked with me to get things going. And these are the only reasons I'm giving a 4 rating instead of a 5.
