Great App
Great app... more brush styles is a must, particularly paint styles.

Get Inkpad
Get Inkpad instead. This is basically the blob brush tool, the blob erase tool, a color picker and a layer org. There is no selection tool. No moving objects independently from others on the same layer. No bezier. No gradient tool. No fill tool. No type tool. No arranging, pathfindering, centering, nada. No swatch palette. Can't save custom swatches. I don't want another cloud sync app. Adobe can keep their cloud. The sample drawing had to take some mental gymnastics. For $10, you could get something good. I feel ripped off. Maybe I'm not the target market for this app. (My eight-yr-old may like it if you throw in some superhero clip art.)

I didn't always hate you, Adobe
And even though I still hate you, it's not because of this app. This app is fantastic. This app, as it is now, is a work of art. I wouldn't change a thing. If you update it, I won't bother with the update because it's perfect as it is 1.0

This App has power. One example of its killer power is being able to zoom in at any level and have the lines remain super crisp. Crisp lines allow for more detailed work and an overall pleasant experience. I started out using Sketchbook Pro on my IPod Touch and found that the crispiness of the lines tops out at a very low zoom level. The lines appeared blurred and quite jagged. It's almost impossible to do detailed work with blurry and jagged lines. I was contemplating on whether to buy Sketchbook Pro or Adobe ideas for the IPad. One key difference is exporting your design as a PSD or in Ai format . The Ai format is only available for the ideas App and PSD only for Sketchbook Pro. With Ai it's nice being able to play with lines afterwards using Adobe Illustrator on the computer. Also since it's vector based the resolution is independent compared to raster. Another nice feature that Ideas has is kuler colors and in-app image search using Flickr and Google. I admit Sketchbook Pro has a lot more features than Ideas has. In reality they are two different beasts, one which is more like illustrator and one which is more like drawing in Photoshop. Adobe ideas is fast, powerful, and has potential. In order for it to reach it's full potential it would be great to have some more features including: 1. Offset painting option- so my finger isn't in the way. 2. Paint bucket or some kind of fill 3. Option to get rid of lines that exceed the canvas-the grey area
