Hands-down the Best Solitaire App for the iPhone
Acid has been around forever and their FreeCell apps are legendary for their inventiveness and intuitiveness (like being able to "toss cards" to where they should go and it magically knowing where you meant to put them!). This is NOT a port of their Palm Solitaire app (which was very good in it's own right). This is obviously written from the ground-up to take advantage of iPhone unique interface. A must for every FreeCell fan!

So much better than the Palm OS version!!!
I'm told that they'll be adding a lefty mode in a soon-to-be-released update (happy news for me!). I truly enjoy this implementation. I have hopes that Red Mercury will give us a great Pyramid Solitaire game as with many options as well. Great developer - very responsive!

Great solitaire app
Easy to use and has landscape mode. There are 3 solitaire classic games with customizable features like 1 or 3 card draw for Klondike. I'd give it 5 stars except when you drag a card and don't catch it right the whole background moves so I mostly just tap the cards to move them. Overall worth the price!

Currently best of the bunch
In my view, AcidSolitaire operates the best, is the smoothest and has the best controls of all the Solitaire offerings, however I did not check out Demon Solitaire. The rest of the group have not figured out yet that Solitaire players generally don't drag cards, we want them to jump to save time. In some, the Aces will jump on a double click. I purchased all the rest to check them out. AcidSolitaire has a great legacy from the Palm Pilot world and it has increased it with this game in the iPhone/iTouch world. Now if they would only make a backgammon game. How about it guys?

This app delivers what it says. I was looking for a solitaire game with landscape mode and fortunately this one features it. The visuals are also pretty decent. Actually better than what they look like in the screenshots. Take a look at the app's website link. A detailed video shows a walkthrough of the game.

Bought several of the iPhone card games and this is my favorite
I've wanted to play Freecell and Solitaire on my iPhone for a long time. Now there are several applications that do it. I went ahead and purchased a few of them on the App Store to try them. Acid Solitaire is my favorite. The game play is the most natural and makes the best use of the iPhone user interface. If you're trying to decide among the solitaire programs for the iPhone, get this one. Highly recommended.

Doesn't quite work right, unfortunately
In solitaire, cards auto-jump to Aces, and I can't find a way to turn that off, which means that right now the game doesn't even work properly. Also, the animation is far too heavy for a card game. It's like the whole game is on a sugar high. Really annoying. I used Red Mercury software on my Palm that I swore by (Acid Image), but this solitaire collection needs some tweaking, and then it will be excellent.

Solitare, it's what your body craves.
Red Mercury, LLC, is a pioneer in quality handheld Solitare products. Starting with their inaugural release of AcidSolitare on the possitively prehistoric Palm Pilot platform, Red Mercury has managed to propelled these time honored classics to new heights of heretofore unimagined jollification with the release of the AcidSolitare Collection on Mac OS Touch. Red Mercury's AcidSolitare Collection has transformed my humble daily BART commute into a veritable thrill pounding pulse ride, leaving me breathless with whimsy and damp with perspiration from the exhileration clearing hand after hand. The custom background image are a nice touch too.
