Almost Perfect
I just switched from the Sirius Sportster 4 to the XM Skydock after getting a iPod Touch. It's a wonderful product, but there are some items that it lacks. On the software side I'd love to see the Pause/Rewind/FastForward options, and for Tagging, I'd really like to have it ask at the time of tagging whether you want the Artist or the Song tagged. On the hardware side, I'd love to see it have some more mounting options. I understand that it's designed for portability, but not all vehicles have outlets that are convenient for plugging this product in and having it be accessible. 2 out of the 3 vehicles in my household have the outlets so close to the floor that it's almost impossible to reach the device without being a hazard while driving.

Great. But desperatly needs three things
I love this combo in my car. Works great. But it three things badly! -channel up/down buttons -jump or return to previous channel button Once those are added. It's a 5 star app.

Why Compress? Buyer Beware.
One hardware/software question... When listening to my iPod, there is some serious compression applied. Why? The ratio must be at least 5 to 1. (I was hoping the firmware update would fix this completely) For those of you unfamiliar with what compression is, it's that 'pumping' sound when the music reaches a high point in volume. (usually in the chorus). The overall volume is limited or "compressed" and you hear the music pump. In addition, I found that the radio "transfer" stations are spotty at best. I bought this actually, just to charge and play my iPod because it is sturdy and doesn't flop over. I've bought less expensive docks with a "floppy" feel, but better reception. NOW, I've got a transmitter I can hang my jacket on but sounds like crap. Why would I be interested in opening a XM account when I'm afraid it won't sound any better? Get Sirius.

So close to being perfect.
The new update helped with the dock "seeing" the phone. My only complaint now is the difference in volume between the satellite and the iPod. Please add an adjustment for BOTH audio sources.
