Simple, practical
Easy to use. Only prob is the record drink button is smaller than the glass selections so I keep hitting the glass selections to edit. Wish it were reversed where you click on glass photo to record and edit button is below. Overall good practical device.

Love it. I'm a health nut and this really encourages me to stay hydrated. I also recommend a food journal!

It's a useful app I use to make sure I drink an appropriate amount of water while taking creatine but it is to expensive to buy for the full app

Let's be clear...
For purposes of needing reminders throughout the day, this is not a free app. Another poster indicated it was 99 cents, it is but that is a monthly subscription price. That's 11.88 every year before taxes. The one time "lifetime use" purchase is 2.99, which is the better value. This is not a bad app, but should come with better instructions at log in and a help page. I figured things out on my own, but shouldn't have had to. Not sure why all of the social programming with adding friends and nearby users is included. Makes me a bit suspect, and I guess the reason they give such a high price point, but I am not using those features and the location feature is off. If it is going to offer such things connection to FB, twitter, and google seems more plausible (not that I would use those). But seems some want it. If you do add it, please do not have a screen popup after every goal to prompt a FB or twitter post. In fact I take it back don't add these. There are other comparable maybe even better apps priced less, but I don't have IOS 5 and most of the really good tracking/reminder water apps require IOS 5 or greater. I waited too long and missed the window to upgrade to IOS 5. Apple will only allow upgrade to IOS 6 now, which is not my preference. So for those that may not have updated, or care not to, this works. Eventually I may be forced to upgrade but for now... At any rate IMHO 2.99 was expensive, but I didn't have many to chose from and this was the best of the limited options. Overall the water tracking/reminder features are simple which I liked. It allows you to set your daily goal, for example: 64oz, then at preferred reminder intervals you simply record what you drink. It displays the cumulative amount at the bottom of the glass. It does not give a % of what's left, or how many glasses left, but since you set your goal and intervals you should know that yourself with a simple calculation of remaining drinks. If you schedule A drink every hour over 8 hours and you drink 8z, that's 64 oz and 8 drinks. I do think you should add this info to the screen so it's easier for people to understand. I can see how that would be helpful. I also think there should be a free form field for the fraction of glass instead of just options of 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and full. I set up a 24oz bottle but cannot divide it into 3rds, so instead I set up an 8oz bottle to drink in full at each interval. I still reach the goal the same way, 8 reminders to drink 8oz for a 64 oz goal, but just an example of the lack of true customization. This app does do exactly what I need it to do which is track my water intake and remind me to drink water, so for that 4 stars. Upgrade features and I'll upgrade stars.
