Good for Desktops and Laptops...Not so Good for iPhones
If you're planning on using this app in conjunction with a desktop or laptop computer, whereby you can have your iphone with a security key sitting next to you while you login in to your secure site, then great. This is the app for you. HOWEVER, if you want to login to a site that requires you to enter your key from your iPhone this app's not so good. There is no way to, quickly enough (the Verisign key changes every 30 secs) go from the login page to your VIP Access app to get the number then back to the login page, where you usually have to re-enter your user id and password again, to sign in. When all you have is your iPhone there needs to be an easy way to go from your login page, (e.g. Paypal) directly to your VIP Access page and then back to that login page where you left off to enter your key. Or if you could copy and paste the key from VIP Access that would help, but you still may not have enough time to get it all done within 30 secs. Conclusion: Great for stationary work when you have another computer...not so great for when your traveling around and all you have is your iPhone, which in my opinion defeats the purpose of having an iPhone app. I give this 3 stars because, while it does save the user from having to having to spend money on acquiring a Verisign key card, it really prohibits the user's ability to access Verisign secured accounts while being mobile.

Doesn't activate on iPod touch.
Before anyone tells me that this is not supported on the iPod touch, I have downloaded it from the App Store and all wording related to iPod touch incompatiblity has been removed. I forwarded the SMS I got on my cell phone to my email and open the link on my iPod. Activation always fails. :(

Be wary when upgrading your phone
If you upgrade your phone, the application will not work on the new phone! I upgraded to a 3GS and when I launched this application, the security code was blank. The only thing that saved the day was I still had access to my old phone and could use VIP access to log into my vendor accounts and de-activate the key. You then need to delete and re-install (twice in my case) to flush the old key and go through the setup process again. Had I not had access to my old phone, this would have been a nightmare scenario. This is a good application. I asked for it on my blog a year ago and Verisign followed-up with me several times. I think we just need to work out the process for upgrading to make it smoother so people don't get stuck with non-working keys.

Hey Einstien
Your right! Your bank does not have this...which is why you should switch to a credit union....namely Addison Avenue FCU which does let you use this key to log in. Check their web site addisonavenue.com

BE CAREFUL - If you reinstall, you CANNOT LOGIN to the secured website!
I had VIP access installed and it WAS working well. When iPhone 3.0 out, I upgraded the OS and something is wrong with the backup I had. Eventually, I have to setup my iPhone as a fresh one, without using any backup. So to use VIP Access, I can just install it again, right? WRONG!! When you do reinstall of the VIP ACCESS, it will ALWAYS GENERATE DIFFERENT CREDENTIAL ID. What does this means? Well, the website which you had registered to require the use of VIP Access when logging in have DIFFERENT CREDENTIAL ID! Example: 1) First install of VIP Access have credential ID of 12345 2) Register website (eBay, etc.) to use VIP Access with credential ID 12345 3) Remove / reinstall VIP access from your iPhone (you upgrade to new iPhone hardware, iPhone OS, etc.) 4) Now VIP Access give credential ID 56789, which is different than the #1 which the website has registered. 5) RESULT: you are LOCKED OUT from your secured sites.
