I am only beginning to input data and already see two glaring deficiencies in what otherwise looks to be a very well designed app. First is a PROBLEM with entering items. When entering my first custom item, I was able to edit the name from "CUSTOM" to what the item is. Later, I noticed that I could edit the title on default items as well. I was quite happy with this until I discovered that this was a ruse. None of the changes I'd cmade stuck. They all reverted back to the original wording including the custom entry. Second is a FEATURE I'd like to see added. I am realizing that all this detailed entry won't tell me a whole lot more than I already know about our electricity usage. What would be very helpful is to have the option to cross reference entries by groupings. For example, I have a home office. It would be very helpful to be able to flag all the items in that office to get a separate subtotal for that area. I also sublet rooms to two other singles. It would be a big help to be able to separate out all the items in the house as either "shared" or assigned to an individual. In theory, a workaround would be to put this app on five different IOS devices, but since this app only works on an iPad, I am limited to one copy. The app did 'crash' once during initial data entry. I was relieved to see that no data was lost.

Unrealized potential
Initially, I was pleased to get a $5 app for free. Starts off with promise; interface is easy to use. (Though regional color codes lack sufficient contrast. I had a hard time telling Zone 4 from Zone 5. Just because you call the app Verde, you don't have to stick to shades of green!) But…the list of minuses is long. List of computer stuff doesn't even have printer on it. I used fax instead—which is under miscellaneous, btw. Is that a good substitute? I dunno. The Kwh estimate was off. Only electric power is covered—no choices for gas or propane. My gas water heater uses a little electricity for the thermostat, e.g. Custom stuff doesn't save. Editing is strange—deletes wrong things. Keeps crashing just when I'm about to get final report. Two stars for effort—and that's generous.

Exactly what I was looking for
Great app. Has suggestions for all appliances you might use in the house with included wattage. Easy to use, and informative. Worth the money.

Only US, really?!
Well maybe the reason that this app is not international is that the USA is responsible for most of the carbon emission on the planet...

Useless at $0.99, rip off at $5.00
I got this app for free and I want my money back...that's how bad it is. There's no provision for tiered "time of use" power billing, no heat pump selectable options, no accurate flat rate guessing either. The app was wrong at guessing what would be my power rate IF my rate was flat (which it is not, it is TIME OF USE).

Best green app out there!
I absolutely love this app. Going green is new to me, and the Verde app has helped me with this transition. Not only does it help me to live greener, it helps me to save money!. Even if you are a professional at going green, this app is worth the download just for the financial savings. It's really a great app. I highly recommend.
