Still my favorite
I've been using ToodleDo for over a year. It's flexible enough to think like I think – so I can make it work for me. Love it. Two minor tweaks and two major upgrades that I would love to see: 1. Task details shows number of visible subtasks, not total. The total is irrelevant; I want to know how many are left undone. 2. I'd love to have a subtask option where the next subtask appears when the preceding one is checked off, or at least they can be ordered, for subtasks which must be done in a certain order to accomplish the task. That's one of the things I miss from LifeBalance. 3. This was going to be: Ability to access desktop saved searches on iPhone. But…ask and ye shall receive!! How did I not notice that it had already been implemented?! Yay! Thank you! 4. Saving the sort order with the view, the saved search, or whatever. Some things are best sorted by importance, others by location, others alphabetically. That would be a wonderful upgrade to ToodleDo. 5. Ok, I still have another one. I'd like to have Locations not be mutually exclusive, as tags are not. I can buy laundry detergent at the grocery store or the drugstore; I can buy a work light at Tractor Supply or any one of several different hardware stores that I go to. Certain hardware stores don't carry things that other stores have, but all stores have certain things. So that's why I maintain different stores -- also for location alarms. Duplicating items is annoying and confusing; I buy it one place and check it off, then have to go see if I have it listed somewhere else. Would this really be difficult to implement? Found a bug: Timer says "START TIMER" whether it's off or on. But I love ToodleDo and expect to continue using it as long as you continue supporting it.

Not what I expected
When I purchased this app, I was under the assumption that reminders would pop up when I was within the designated radius of the location for my reminders...it does not do that, sadly. It's a nice app, but not what I expected. :-(

Not the fanciest, but awesome utility
Categorization, repeat events, great online vs offline synching, and an excellent web version as well. This is one of my favorite iPhone apps among the hundred or so I've installed. UPDATE: I had to remove a star from my original review, because the app forced me to turn off sound notifications because of the times it has nagged me to write a review here … even though I already gave them a five-star review to begin with. That kind of asinine spam backfires.

Much slower
Update on latest version 3.2.0: the color improvements address the issue that I raised going way back to version 3.0. Namely, the issue with text color that made it hard to read. Unfortunately, I find this verson to be unstable. In Tasks, when I search, and then cancel, it crashes. Please fix. Update on latest version 3.0.4: the last version 3.0.3 was a major improvement over 3.0.2, mainly in regards to speed. However, both it and the latest version still have problems with readability. Specifically, in tasks, when editing a note, the save and cancel buttons are very difficult to read because the font is blue and the background is blue. The font should be white for easier readability. latest version 3.0.2 is much slower (on an iPhone 5) than previous version. Also, the problem with text readability is back. Give me back the old version.

Does exactly what it says. Excellent workflow and task management solution. 20 plus years managing complex - high value enterprise projects and finally found an app that can match the usefullness of my old school dayRunner. See great promise for using this app in the field of Emergency Management, especially with the collaboration tools.
