What happened to the crossword puzzle?
The crossword puzzle worked for a couple of days, now it doesn't. Please fix!

Pretty Lame
I started using the app over one year ago. That version of the application was decent. Much preferred to the current incarnation. This current version is pretty crummy. You ought to be able to search or access old columnist pieces and old pieces, restaurant reviews, etc. The latest release includes the ability to do the crossword. I was excited when I read of the new feature. I'm completely disappointed. It is the reason I'm finally writing this review. The crossword application is COMPLETELY WORTHLESS. The usability is atrocious. You the clues and the puzzle scrolling are synchronized in a way that forces you to constantly scroll the list and the puzzle on every clue once you get into the bottom half of the puzzle. Completely unusable. Can't play it. Novel to access the print edition ... but the app needs work. Check out other newspaper and magazine apps. Hire a mobile applications user interface expert to help with the design. This current version is AWFUL.

Useless app
This app is completely useless for the iPad Mini. Since they switched it to a "Newsstand" app, all I get now are blank pages and, occasionally, crashes. Even after many version updates the app still doesn't work. I have been getting my news from other newspapers since.

Always crashes, awful GUI
I miss the old app - where it would open reliably and download for offline viewing. Would never pay for this service once they start charging.

Solid News App
Great new features. love the offline functionality as well as being able to actually have the print edition right on my ipad. Reading some of the bad reviews based on the crossword not working made me shake my head; if the crossword is why you have newspapers, then stick to the print addition or go find a crossword app.
