Unhappy in Maryland
Was working very well until the update. Now crashing every time. 9-3-13 For the last two days been unable to access the crossword puzzle. I need to say also that I have no idea what the advertisement is selling. Please fix.

Doesn't meet standards set by other great digital publications
I love the institution, the newspaper, the coverage, the writers. I think the digital platform needs to go. It's difficult to navigate and feels unresponsive. Feels like a glorified PDF platform and sluggishly moves through content. Don't feel like I get value for my digital premium subscription.

I expected Better
After dealing with a disappointing version of the post on kindle I had hopped that the ipad app would be better. However what I found instead was a lot of stories repeated for several days and missing key content like the nation and world digest. Some of the multimedia additions are ok but many are just stupid. Good news is that you can get an image of the print version. Not sure I would pay for the current version of the app.

Just Deleted It
After two days of just getting only the start-page and then not displaying content but returning me to my app screen I have deleted this app.

I LIKE this app, but it still can be improved
I am using the Print Edition download on my iPad most of the time, despite the several-minute download and processing time on my 16G iPad 2. I like being able to scan the headlines on -every- page and download or expand the articles I'm interested in with a tap. (I download most, and expand only the short articles that are complete on one printed page.) I discovered that I was missing some articles and other things things not published in the "normal" app download. I consider that version to be "WP Lite" since it doesn't have every article in the hardcopy WP, and the Print Edition of the app is complete (including ads). I prefer reading the comics in the Print Edition, since I can easily expand the size of the page on my screen with my fingers so that one column of comics fits on the screen and I can sweep upland down to read everything. It's essentially the same comfortable reading experience as the old familiar hardcopy comics. The color of the "normal" download daily comics is nice, though. One big improvement I'd like to see: use the zip code of my account to download my local edition (Southern MD) version of the Local Living section. This could eventually be extended to include more Southern Maryland stories in my download of the Metro section every day. I'm usually not too interested in the DC and Northern VA articles in Metro. That's a fault of the hardcopy that can't be corrected and would be a great feature in the app. I'm a dual-subscriber and intend to keep my hard-copy subscription, but I find that I'm reading the WP on my iPad most of the time now that I've learned how to use the Print Edition. The Print Edition app crossword is fun, too. Sudoku next, please?
