Horrible updating.
It's late Sunday-almost Monday. I'm tired of reading about Friday's Nats game. Pretty sure they've played once or twice since then.

The WPost closing?
The app is so bad that the only logical reason is that Bezos is closing the Post and the App is run by summer interns.

Content fine; too many bugs
Had loading problems. Paying too much for hassles.

Another useless update
I rarely review apps, but WaPo just keeps getting worse, so I felt compelled. Maybe someone in the tech dept should take a look at the NYT, which just keeps getting better. Everything from the Google ads at the bottom to the use of an entire screen for just one article, and not even the headline article at that. It looks more like grocery store checkout yellow journalism that the trusted paper I used to love. Not even getting it free with my local paper makes it worthwhile. Too bad, really.

App is Crap
Post should be ashamed. Crashes more often than not. Easier to open paper through safari on my iPad. Can learn a lot from NYT which never crashes!

How to make the app worse
The Washington Post for iPad has been a boon to us, as we travel and cannot get newspaper delivery. I used to love doing the crossword puzzle, that is, until the digital edition decided to "make it better" at the beginning of 2015. The replacement crashed the app for the first few months, then when it did work, after forcing you to watch an ad for 15 seconds, no longer worked with the bluetooth keyboard and was clunky, now it crashes the app again, both in the prior update and this one. I have communicated with the tech team directly but I just give up...no crossword puzzle fun anymore. Shame on you W.Post, for $15 a month I should get more. Do you pay someone for this development work?

Bad update
This app has always been buggy, but I just downloaded the latest update and it's now a complete mess. Freezes, crashes, freezes the iPad, etc. I mean, come on...

Ads with constant movement
Now they charge for it and have more ads. Pop ups cover the headlines. The ads are distracting while you read since they have flashing and movement. We shouldn't have to pay $15/month to read more ads...

Past Data Stays
I like the app and read the paper on iPad most of the time even though we get a paper copy delivered. The major problem is that the data does not erase when a new edition becomes available and using the clear data function in the app settings menu DOES NOT clear the data. The app used almost 17 gig of my iPads 32 gig until I discovered this issue. I have to delete the app and reinstall in order to clear the data.
