Too many booboos
I get the Post and I can just abide the ads but I am getting close to canceling because of all the mistakes. Ye godz hire a literate intern to scan before you publish. Really, no excuse. Lowers my rating.

Works, but needs work. Come on Bezos!
Better than it was, it still has too many ads. Also, it is too easy to inadvertently touch a hot link when trying to move between stories. No crossword puzzle. Inexplicably uses a lot of memory.

Ridiculously Slow App
Slowest to open and most frequent crasher of any app I have downloaded. I love being able to access Washington Post online, but do not understand why their app is the worst of any major newspaper. It has gotten worse since Jeff Bezos bought the Post - exactly the opposite of what I expected would happen. It appears the online ads that run at the bottom of stories or pop up alongside articles (often opening in the middle of articles and then precipitating a crash of the app), may be the cause of the long load time (3-4 minutes) and frequent crashing.

Worst news app ever
Quality content overwhelmed by poor app layout, no "last updated" time, ads take up too much screen space, swipe for next story in middle of article is distracting. Still a very buggy app. Print version okay.

Videos Buggy
I rarely watch the videos because it usually takes 2 or 3 attempts before the video will play. The ads before the videos play perfectly, however, every time. So, for every video I watch I have to be prepared to spend 20 seconds watching the same ad several times over.

Can't hear anything on news videos
This is the only news app I currently have on an IPad as they use so much memory. However I will probably get rid of it also, as I have to go to a browser in order to hear sound on any of the videos that accompany articles.

Too many ads
Way too many ads for a $15 per month subscription. I'm canceling today.

An adtrap
Seems almost purposely designed to detect clicks on ads when none is intended. And I'm a paid subscriber. I have yet to discover how to hold the iPad without being interrupted by unwanted, unintended ad views.

Get a high school kid to rebuild the app
One look at this behemoth tells you that there are too many very large graphics on the startup page. It causes severe performance issues. - reduce the size of the graphics to thumbnails and/or - load only text on startup

This is the slowest news app in have
It is much worse on the iPad than on the iPhone but it is painfully slow. Ridiculous that you have to download an entire issue each day instead of constant updating as the NYTimes does. Also you have to tap a few times just to get an individual page to show. Finally, there is too much news about fellow journalists. Who cares about them. Pitiful that they are considered interesting. They are only interesting to each other in the gossipy Washington Post.
