Not paying for this buggy crap
Website is better, even on a small screen. That's the definitive sign of a bad app. Bonus: bugs.

Can't buy even though I want to
I moved out of the dc area 6 months ago and I love the post. I desperately want to read it everyday. Unfortunately, every time I try to purchase a subscription, I get diverted back to the home screen. The format is great, the platform is shaky, and the ease of use is horrendous.

And now with forced ads !
So we were made to pay for the online access - OK, that's not unreasonable. But now were forced to endure advertising banners across the bottom that cannot be terminated. What a distraction to enjoying the newspaper you've paid for. Come on people, pick one. Take our money or our eyeballs, but not both. I hope saner heads will prevail and the banners disappear in next release. Otherwise this might be the end of a 30-year relationship. Remember, ads are worthless without readers.

Completely Unusable App
Thank goodness Bezos bought the paper as I hope he can take a useless app and make it useful. I've never used something so bad.

Dreadful Disappointment
The app worked great up until the latest update--now it crashes frequently, the crossword can't be played because the sponsorship ad crashes and the puzzle disappears. Use the feedback feature in the app to tell WaPo and no one ever responds. Big disappointment.
