New Washington post app
What good is the app if you don't have an icon to start it? The new Washington Post app removed the icon when it loaded.

Lost Icon
Has anyone figured out how to retrieve the WP icon? Very frustrating because can't even delete and re-install. Downloading seems much slower than before but visual is better.

Awesome
I love this update. I never look at the print edition, but with this great app I will read it every day. Looks great and easy to navigate.

DO NOT UPDATE/UPGRADE
New version (as of 03/26/13) is SUPER slow to load content. I'm on a fiber Internet connection so it's not that. Once you open the app, it takes like a full minute or 90 seconds for content to be displayed in this version. The old version was much better. DO NOT UPDATE/UPGRADE.

What a shame!
I have enjoyed the previous version while it lasted. This iPad version is not worth the effort of clicking on it to open it. There is nothing there. A real pity.

What were they thinking?
Another example of ruining a perfectly excellent app. The print edition is impossible to view and navigate. The app now resides in the dreaded newsstand; that creates more clicks to access and the likelihood that I will use it less often. The content of the app side seems skimpier than in the prior version. Doesn't anybody test market this stuff before releasing it? Bring back the old app, please.
