Disappointing
The Washington Post used to be one of the better newspapers in the country. The Post clearly is in a death spiral similar to that of news print though out the country. And the app for iPad is one of the least attractive newspaper apps. If this app is an indicator, the iPad app for the Post will not survive when it tries to charge for content this summer.

So far so good, but not so fantastic
This newspaper is easy to read but sometimes it is running late

Awesome update - new issues are auto downloaded!
Ignore the reviews. This is a great update. The app is on the newsstand shelf and many more features than the 1.x version. Looking forward to see what else wapo has in store.

New app review
I agree with a prior review. The new WP app is terrible. After waiting 5 minutes for a print edition to download, it disappears. Further, the app icon does not appear on my iPad home page as the old one did necessitating going back into the App Store each time I want to access it. Finally, I am a print subscriber and the FAQs fail to explain how a print subscriber can still access the app past the summer 2013 trial period free of charge. I've ask for an explanation/guidance without reply to date. Frustrating .

Setting the bar
Washington Post's newest upgrade sets the bar for newspaper apps. It seamlessly provides all of the digital content of WaPo's website while offering an easy to access rendition of the print edition.

Much worse
I wonder why a good app is squandered. Nothing works! This is so bad that I am no longer reading WP. Please bring back the simpler great app
