I don't understand all the negative comments. I haven't had any problems with crashing. We discovered this app while we were out of the country and missing our daily home delivery. Love that it is the actual paper as it looks in print. Now that I am home I have discovered that I can purchase directly from the PD for only 3 cents a day, 7 on Sunday. So now my husband has his paper version and I have my preferred digital.

Horrible!
Just cancelled after 2 frustrating months of crashes, slow or non loading of editions. Pretty much unusable, unstable and extremely slow. PD provides no support. They don't even know what you're talking about when you call and app support consists of a link to paper subscription web page. Use the cleveland.com website and get the same content for free. PD should be embarassed. Hire the company that does NYT or WSJ and start over....

I Want My Money Back
Editions will not download after paying for a month. Ap seemed to work well at first. I'm going back to Kindle. It is reliable.

Cancelling Home Delivery!
While not perfect, this is a very good app. In fact, it is good enough that, after several decades of home delivery, I am cancelling my paper subscription in favor of the iPad app. Unlike the Kindle version or cleveland.com, this app provides a picture-perfect replica of the paper - including photographs, headlines, etc. - laid out just as it is on the paper copy. Navigation is simple and smooth. Worth it alone to avoid trudging through the snow to get the paper on a winter morning. As I said, however, the app is not perfect. The few shortcomings I have experienced are (1) no full-text searching, (2) the app reinitializes every time you switch between it and a different app, and (3) it does not include the Sunday advertising fliers. (1) would be nice, (2) is annoying but not significantly, and (3) is solved by a Sunday-only subscription.

Another thing Cleveland fails at.
Love the idea and wouldn't mind getting a subscription. However the demo alone is very slow to load and when I go to the home screen it doesn't keep loading. It started over when I went back into app. Also there is no paper cost to the company, the subscription prices are way to high. If I agree to get the news for a year, I am actually going to pay more then if I pick 6 months and keep renewing. Does that even sound right? Well hopefully this app gets fixed and maybe I'll think about subscribing to it. There are so many other places to get the news for FREE.
