Great visuals
This is a really great app that gives me everything I need to know about the weather on one page. The visuals are beautiful and enhance the experience. I highly recommend this app.

Swackett is the best.
This app however is not. Swackett is known for its beauty and simplicity. This app makes ridiculously poor use of the screen real estate on the iPad. The weather shows up in a 3x4 inch section of the screen that you have to scroll around on when the other 80% of the screen is just static clip art. Sorry swackett, I've been your #1 fan since the beginning too, just being honest here.

Must Have!
I genuinely love AGLogic's apps! I own every single Swackett weather app they've made, both free and paid versions, almost all of them from day one they were released! These apps are most importantly accurate, but offer the information in a fresh and fun way! The free apps are excellent, but the paid features are well worth having too. This new iPad app, like the others, is well made! The app functions quite well on my iPad 1 with iOS 5.1.1. There isn't any crashing to speak of, the animations are smooth, and the pictures are crisp and sharp. The UI is the best I've seen of any weather app: easy to maneuver and very functional. AGLogic also makes an available tutorial for those who need it, but the app is so simple to use that you likely won't need it. As an added bonus, the developer made it possible for users to customize the ordering of features as you'd like them to appear on the menu bar -- and you can even hide a feature if you don't plan on using it and want it out of your way (that's also unlikely, but nice to know you can!). As for features, there are too many to speak of! Fun galore! The animations are darling, featuring the peep characters from the other Swackett series of weather apps. There app comes with several editions of peeps, but you can purchase more (ie: 1950's, fitness, university, etc.) -- and FYI, by using the "restore purchases" or signing into your Swackett account, your purchase of these editions will work across all the Swackett apps you download on your devices (so long as you use the same iTunes account). There are even Easter Egg Peeps that will often feature celebrities or important events --you never know when one will pop up! There are weather facts, trivia, etc. The iPad app even introduces a simple space shooter game -- way funny. The weather itself is seriously on-point, despite the fun this app provides. There are radar animations, hourly/daily/weekly forecasts, the peeps help you decide what clothing is appropriate to wear (they out the "fun" in functional!). As an added purchase, you can enable push notifications Weathergrams that users can set however they'd like -- almost like an alarm clock that will tell you the weather! You can set as many of these alarms as you want too! The push arrives on time, the app doesn't have to be open. I can keep going, but clearly, the app sells itself. Download the free version if you're unsure -- I can guarantee you will likely purchase the ad free version or other features (if you plan on getting other features, most will remove the ads anyway, FYI). The $2.99 Power Pack is the most economical option that will remove ads and give you all other features. Beyond that, then you can purchase the peep packs you may want (once in a while, the developer gives them away for free to celebrate a special occasion . . . if you can bear to wait). Please check out all of AGLogic's other weather apps too (iPhone/iPod/iPad) -- I am a really excited customer who hopes you'll love their apps as much as me and support a REALLY superb developer. The development and customer support is just THAT awesome!

Thumbs down
I live in a capital city and it couldn't locate me, and now uninstalling it is proving to be less than straightforward.
