Needs a "Save" function
If you want to use this app to write or answer emails, it may be fine for you. But if you want to use it for memos, forget it…it won't save to your device. The only way to save what you've dictated is to email it to yourself. I'd also like to see an "undo" feature, so you could re-record a phrase till you get it right, without having to erase mis-recorded text manually a character at a time with the delete button. The way it records takes some getting used to…if you pause while speaking, even for a breath, it assumes you're "done," stops recording, and translates to text. To continue your thought, you have to hit record again. As another reviewer suggested, a "pause recording" feature would be nice. i'm sure voice to text is extremely difficult to implement, and I appreciate that the developers have even tried! This app translates my speech to text surprisingly accurately if I'm using common words and speak clearly. If it could save recordings as memos, and had pause capability, I'd give it five stars. For memo purposes, I'd give it zero stars, but I guess that's not what they made it for…they made it for dictating emails.

It's so-so
It seems to be the only app of its type available for iOS, so if you really need it it's worth the $1.99. I wouldn't pay any more for it unless they give it a pause feature, and more importantly, a save conversation feature. I spent an hour dictating and editing something, and erased all of it by accidentally closing the window. I deleted mine, because its useless unless it becomes impossible to accidentally delete.

5 Star
This is the best speech to text application I have found so far. It sometimes has trouble understanding you but that is very rare and I don't think they have come out yet with a perfect speech to text translator and probably never will considering the different accents we all have. All in all it is a very good application that I use daily. I give it five stars.

This app is good. It would be better if it could automatically open to text rather than having to open the app every time I want to reply to a message. Other than that you have to speak loudly and slowly for this app to understand you. Being someone with a thick accent will make this app difficult to the point that you will end up typing on your own to fix the miss understood words. All in all for a free app it's not bad, but again if you have a quiet voice or an accent this may not be for you, unless you can speak slow and "proper" or like to retype the entire text.
