Ads ads ads... Greed ruins experience
Shazam used to be calm nice and simple. Now it is three ads to identify a song (before during after) ... Including agressive content, animated flash ads and scams ads claiming this or that mentioning the presidents name. Ads are right under the close button, causing accidental clicks. ///// Absolutely HATE the TV SHAZAM ! As you can no longer identify songs from tv shows, ads, ... Instead it tells you you are watching show x. DUH! I don't need the generic website for good morning america, today show, dancing with the stars, whatever ... I want the song info!!!!! Not name the TV show which I know I am watching!!!!

iTunes
Unfortunate! If a song is not tied to iTunes for purchase, these sound apps don't recognize it. Just experimented with Paul McCartney from a concert broadcast on TV. Zilch. Zero. Nothing. Nada. Really??

Does a good job recognizing mainstream songs, but a poor job of identifying great shag music, for example. Admittedly, more regional in nature, it is nonetheless followed by thousands of fans in the SE US - particularly in the Carolinas. Shazam needs to update its database.

Great app, but...
Tagged songs doesn't play when trying to preview it. I also keep getting an error message when I start the app.

Somebody's trying to pull a fast one...
I love (or rather lovED) this app, and I often use the feature that allows me to purchase the songs I tag from iTunes. Twice now however, while tagging and purchasing older 60's songs, it has tagged the song properly, but it has referred me to an album on iTunes that contains a different recording than the song I just tagged. It says it's the same artist, but it's not. Not the same artist, not the same version of the song I just tagged. I don't know if this is happening because of Shazam, iTunes or both, but it sure seems somebody's trying to pull a fast one. I recently bought an entire album of 60's music that Shazam directed me to that named the original artists, but did not contain original artists or recordings. I had to demand a refund. Very VERY disappointed in Shazam AND iTunes.
