Fixes helped
The recent fixes to this app have made it very useful. If I get a question from one of my students, I can use this app to explain my answer, and post the explanation for everyone in the class to see. I also have used the app to present new material to students when I was bumped from a flight home, and forced to miss a class as a result. In both cases, the app made decent recordings, and it is easy to share the uploaded recordings with my students.

Very useful, allows downloading video
What puts this above competing apps like ShowMe and Educreations is that ScreenChomp allows you to download the video to your PC if you want. Also, you do not have to register to use the app, ScreenChomp videos are uploaded to their site and you (and your students) can access them with just a link. DoodleCast, a paid app, lets you create videos and save directly to your picture gallery, but I think DoodleCast gives you the best of both - web access and the ability to download the video file. I wish the drawing board would take up more of the screen, but that hasn't been a problem. I would also like an "undo" button. But overall, it's a very good application.

Great for on-line
I use Screen Chomp for the on-line parts of my college classes. Just like talking one on one with a student.

Amazing!
Screenchomp has been an valuable tool for my math classroom. When a student needs help on an assignment or is absent from school, I Screenchomp an explanation and post it to my wiki page. It's a wonderful resource and has pretty much replaced my need for a smart pen.

A couple of steps away...
I am a teacher and I'm loving this app. I will give it a 4 so far because I know a few simple tweaks could help a lot. 1) if there was a tool that would allow you to drag, drop, and rotate objects it would be helpful during the recording 2) if there was a tool that allowed you to draw straight lines that would also help to make the presentation more professional in appearance. Smart notebook software and smart notebook tools may be helpful if you were looking for more ideas. Thanks...best app out there!
