Very good app
I own a small business and this app has been great. There is some front end work with excel to get your data sucked in but it is awesome at displaying your data. It makes it very easy and fun to track trends in the business. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this app. I assume those giving it 1 star etc. do not understand what the app is for. There is some preloaded content that is natively in the app but that is just so you can see the power of the application. For those of you that have great BI databases already there are some other apps you might want to try along with Roambi. But for those of us still using Quickbooks and have not made the BI database jump yet it is a great way to track data and compare data overtime. This really is a polished app that works great. They also have some great tutorials and templates that allow you to quickly import your data. My only hope is that some of the new views that are associated with their Enterprise version are made available to the pro users. I really would like some additional dashboard displays.

Works for all small investors!
Small investors like me. It works great! Check up daily on each of your stocks, but for real investors. It is hard to keep track of 100's of things in the app...It just isn't made for that.

Solid app, understand negative reviews
The flash website is lame but the app is helpful and can use Google Docs to upload. The challenge I had was using the spreadsheet template and trying to define how the data can be formatted. After investing a lot of time, it works and works well. Support docs could be better but prebuilt templates fit our data structure needs well.

Buyers beware: Cells cannot expand!
Nice looking design but of very little use. You cannot expand the CELLS. The cells use a AVERAGE method to determine field size. In other words it takes the average of all the cell sizes and fixes it as the MAX size. If you have notes or long company names the CELLs will show up as <ABC INDUSTR.....> The word INDUSTRIAL DESIGN COMPANY will be cut off and not viewable. I tried it with IPHONE and IPAD. Same issue. Huge design flaw

Stunning visually, but falls short on functionality
Very excited at the stunning visualizations and the idea of seeing my own data appear I downloaded this app. After playing around with the sample data I tried going to their website on my iPad only to discover that it's in Flash. Flash isn't supported on the iPad or iPhone so that was a bit disappointing. Undaunted, I went to the site on my laptop and created a free account. I think this is an example of a really great and potentially powerful idea that didn't follow through well on execution. The flashed site elements are kind of pretty, but they aren't functionally done well. Button hotspots don't line up with the actual buttons, so you sit there and move the mouse around until you get a cursor - then you click. And, even though I downloaded their template for the pie charts and replaced the data in the worksheet with some dummy data, the web interface wouldn't display the data as a report. Whoever recommended that they use Flash for this though - that person really torpedoed RoamBI and clearly did not understand the impact of the decision - it renders the product pretty useless to iPad/iPhone users. This product has a lot of potential, we'd love to use it - but it needs some serious repairs first.
