It is ok, but
The management function is not good. I suggest to allow setup fold to manage whole files. Only 3 category tags are too limited. It doesn't allow efficient management .

This is exactly what I have been looking for! Simple and easy to use but very pro at the same time!

Blue tooth keeps disconnecting
The blue tooth support needs a patch because it keeps disconnecting me in the middle of a recoreded lecture in the middle of a crowded library. But I suppose if I found a room with even less ambient noises and could actually use my built in speakers.. And a "pause" button while listening to a recording.. I would have rated it higher.

Looking for something to record lectures? This is for you.
Today I got my iPad and this is the 5th program that I tested today. If you notice none of the free apps display how long they can record for. Therefore each time that I was testing them I literally turned on the tv set it to record and checked on it every now and then. This is the first one to pass a 1 and a half hour test that was free. It has something for you to amplify the audio while recording. Again big plus. After your done you can cut snips out which is really nice bc I have left my iPod recording before for 13 hours on accident. So your able to cut the end out if need be. And if you know your going to be listening to a file a few times do you really want to listen to the beginning of class and the very end over and over? Final big big bonus. On my laptop I do not install iTunes because of software issues with QuickTime... You do not need iTunes to transfer it to your laptop it gives you what to type to access the file. It's a simple ip address like It displays what to type into your address bar to get to dlling the file over the network. If your in the military this is definitely rated kiss....

Gotta get the paid version to really try this out
It looks impressive from the start, but too many flashing ad's (free version), gets annoying real quick. I used the limited features, but without the gain feature being available (disabled on free version), I was not able to boost the recording level. It was ok, but would be nice to at least try the gain. **** (Update) My mistake, it "does" have the gain working in the free version, and I tried it. It works well with and without using Apples ear buds with mic. Was especially pleased with the results using just the iPad(3) built in mic. It picks up those with softer voices (and any sounds between the iPad and the speaker). I can see how this will work well in meetings when the speaker is a fair distance away. I agree, it is awkward transferring, or emailing a recording, this needs some (a lot of) help. Albeit, I will purchase the full version and report back what I find. It looks promising compared to what others I have tried. I'm impressed with the recording quality, just bummed over the hoops you have to jump thru just to save or email a recording. If they get this part right, it will easily be five stars. - Alright already!
