A bicycle for the mind.
I don't know how they did it, but Pythonista is a steal at any price. The universal app is beautiful on the iPad and surprisingly just as polished and functional on the iPhone's smaller screen. This app is ideal for handling small-to-medium sized scripts. A simple and fluid UI, extensive settings, full documentation, and working code samples make Pythonista a must-have if you value tools of creative power on your iOS device.

update breaks scripts
A generally nice app, but the latest update (Nov 7) breaks some apps that used to work. It claims to detect encoding problems, but the automatic fix just leaves scripts that don't produce any output. No obvious reason why some scripts work and others don't.

Wonderful python environment
This is a delightful environment to learn, explore and develop small python functions and programs, especially given the strictures that Apple puts on such apps. The libraries which make python so useful are being introduced slowly, but already surprising functionality is present, especially in the graphics area. You can even manage a web server for your local wifi net in short order and a few lines of code. Amazing. Now when I have a few minutes somewhere I can open my iPad and resume working on my current programming problems. For me it's more much fun than playing a game.
