Possibly the Best "Camera Bag" Application Around
I have used most of the camera apps in the store, and consider myself a serious photographer (both SLR and iPhoneography), and this app rocks! Previously, Camerabag was my go-to app for in-camera processing. But PictureShow blows it out of the water, and is now my foundational post-processing app. The combinations of presets, frames, light leaks, noise, and vignette allows for thousands of combinations, and the image processing is among the best out there--in fact, its B&W, sepia, and duotone conversions are better than anything I've used, even though the intensity of the effect cannot be adjusted. Highly recommended! A few suggestions, though: 1) Add several frame variations to each frame style, as with light leak and noise features. Or allow the frame to be rotated vertically and horizontally so the images don't all have identical frames. 2) Make the light leaks adjustable for intensity and spread - again, to avoid the impression of a canned effect 3) Allow the "shuffled" effects to be selectively modified (e.g., keep noise and frame, but change base processing 4) Speed up file saving alogrithm 5) Allow the image to be rotated 90 degrees any direction. This would allow light and frame affects to be applied more "randomly" resulting in more varies images. 6) For the straight frames (Black, white, dirty, etc), add the frame to the outside of the image, so there is no loss to cropping. I understand that the other "dirty" frames need to be blended with the underlying image, which is used to great effect. But why is this necessary for the clean-edged frames? and a BUG FIX: 7) The preview for the two "smoke" noise filters does not match the final output. The preview looks great--very mottled dark vignetting, but the final image displays washed out / blown highlights. Something is wrong with the rendering of either the preview or the final image. FYI, the preview looks better, the final image looks bad. I wish I could use this noise filter, but the final effect is no good... All in all, the best "one-stop" post-processing app in the store. The images I've gotten out of this things are simply stunning (and it saves everything at full resolution!)...
