Outstanding app for learning notes by sight and sound. First app I've ever paid for, thrilled that it wasn't a dud.

Awesome for me and my student
Love this app, use it constantly, can't say enough good about it. I am working to become fluent in the bass clef, and my girlfriend is a keyboard beginner and works out with treble clef only. Sharps and Flats can be turned on or not so it works from rank beginner all the way up until you are reading all the pitches in both clefs. If you need to learn pitches on the staves of musical notation, this is the app of choice. I have tried quite a few, and all are good. But this simple app does it better than any other I have found. You can't go wrong. It will teach you and give you drill exercises until you are totally fluent at reading note pitches. To be honest, I haven't tried the ear training part. It appears to give you a sound and you then pick out the correct key on the keyboard. I just don't need that part and haven't tried it. If only this talented dev would address the timing of notes in rhythm, it would be perfect. Perhaps in time, eh? I would love to have rhythm notation drills as simple as the pitch notation drills in this fine app.

Great way to learn the basics--much better than flashcards. I like it.

Pretty cool
Nice update, fun and useful. You really do learn how to read the notes faster after awhile. (for those who complains about no sound, it's just because of the rotation switch lock. The iOS update changed it to a mute button, just flip it and you will have sound.) And for those who complains that the app says you are wrong when you think you play the right note, well you ARE wrong!! I bet you are forgetting the sharps and flats!

Good to practice note reading
Simple app but teaches you to read notes. Also trains you to remember how notes sound. Worth the $2.99 price.
