Need to sleep
I'll probably keep the old one that has a sleep timer, bring that back and I'll sleep better 😄

Doesn't replace old remote
First thing I did was to see if the pad would replace the two pads in the old one...nope. So I can't navigate at all with the pad. Recently I tried watching a show on Netflix and it jumped back to the viera menu, I was using the remote part, I tried this three times with the same result, I had to use the real remote.

You still need the original remote
It's a shame you still need the original remote. I understand it works through wifi and the tv needs to be on but it's dumb that I need to still fish for the remote to start using the tv. They should of made the wifi on standby or something so it could at least receive a signal to turn on.

No sleep function
I have the original Viera Remote app and have been very happy with it, so when the app itself let me know that a newer version was available I immediately downloaded it. From what I can see it's fairly user friendly. However, the sleep function has been left off of this new version. I was a bit taken aback by that. I use that function every night. My cable remote is programed to work the basics of the TV. One of the main reasons I downloaded the app was so I wouldn't have to pull out the actual remote every night just for that function. And now it's gone. It doesn't make sense to me. Guess I'll stick to the original app. You know what they say; if it's not broke, then don't fix it. It definitely applies here.
