Best value for editing .doc and .xls files
First of all, ignore any review that complains about not being able to save - then read the rest of this review and others. I have been debating which app to buy for editing MS Office files for a long time. I liked the idea of trying this app for free, then purchasing the full app if I liked it. Integration with dropbox and google docs was quick and easy. The features are very good for a mobile app. After fiddling and testing a few docs and spreadsheets, I was very happy, but thought it would be nice to freeze panes on a small screen. Then I discovered that I could slide the toolbar and see more tools - including freeze panes. In free mode, I could do everything except save and I was able to give the app a good test. It is fast, stable and has a rich feature set. This is definitely worth $6 to add saving; especially when comparing it to similar apps that cost $10-$15 and have no option to try before you buy. I did find that the app had trouble with an excel file with very advanced formatting and formulas. I imagine most or all mobile apps would have similar problems as the file uses some obscure functions. This app has 112 excel functions which ranks up there with any other app.

Great, but most Gdocs missing
I've waited years for this app. But where are most of my Google Docs? It displays only a random selection - not even my most recent ones, or alphabetical, or anything. Direct cloud editing works once I buy the in app save feature, but what's the point if I can't get at most of the Docs I need on the cloud? It's not even searchable. Would this happen if I'd bought the full version?

This is a worthless app. What is the point of having a free demo if you can't even see if the app will work or not. Without being able to save you can't open it on another system to check the formating or how it looks. Don't waste your time on this or any other app from this company. If they are not smart enough to make a decent working demo how good could the full version be.

Complete waste of time , you spend hours learning how to use the app only to find out you cannot save any changes that you have made without buying the full version.

can't do nothing with app unless you PAY!
So i downloaded and thought at least i could save some files on the iphone/ipod touch but NO YOU CAN'T. If you try to save it will say this (You are not currently able to save files of this type. You can upgrade your app to allow saving of documents and/or spreadsheets by selecting one of the products below and pressing purchase.) SO WHY BOTHER PUTTING IN THE WORD "FREE"????? Heck, even if they gave a 24 hour tester; would have been plenty of time to test the app. Only thing left to do is delete!!
