Keeps dropping
The update isn't bad but frequently in the middle of an article the app drops off -- closes down. Then I have to go right back to the start and find my way back to the article. This is a glitch that must be fixed.

Old app was better
I love change, usually. The old NYT app was better. It was cleaner and easier to use. Apparently sometimes change is not also better.

Hair trigger links
As someone's already commented above, you can no longer rest your thumb on the screen while reading without being diverted to whatever linked page your thumb may have rested on - and, given the (welcome) frequency of links, it probably is resting on one. VERY annoying. This wasn't a problem in early versions of the app -- something's changed in the way links behave, and decidedly for the worse.

But the ios7 update is now loading new URL links on the touch events rather than that touch-release. I keep accidentally clicking links and it's annoying.

Gone backwards!
What happened with the iOS 7 version of this app?! The text resizing feature is gone. I don't want to have to change the text size on my whole iPhone to read articles on the New York times! Also, the article update version is gone so you do not know whether you are reading the latest update. The whole format of section access has changed for the worst. I am thinking of canceling my subscription.

I read the times from this app every morning on the subway to work. Since the app has been optimized to iOS7 it has been crashing every other time I open the app. At first I thought it was a network issue and turned off the auto update toggle. Still freezing and crashing. Re-installed the app with no change. Closed all other open apps and it crashed slightly less often… the phone is more than capable of having 5 apps open at once while I read the paper… I am a paid subscriber and can not use my subscription. Please fix this or I will have to cancel. And I do not want to do that. Thanks.
