Good content, bad interface
Enjoy reading the NY Times every morning on the iPad. Do not like the new interface though. It looks unstructured and messy. The 'newspaper look' in the e version was fine. I preferred it. Since the change I read less of the NYT content and more of WSJ.

Disaster since update
Previously worked well. Now constantly crashes and I have no ability to enlarge the type to a comfortable reading size. Huge ads have to be disposed of. I'm fed up and disgusted.

Stop the crashing, please!
I love reading the NYTimes, and I do so every day, but since the most recent update it crashes every 5 minutes without fail. I'm running iOS 7.0.2 and none of my others apps do this. Help!

5 Star Content, 1 Star Pricing
Love the times. The writing is excellent, love the persistent updates, and while the design could be better it is good enough for my purposes. However, the pricing model is absurd. $14.99 per month for iPhone only, and $34.99 for iPad/iPhone? That's insane for information freely available elsewhere, and nearly $500 per year if you want to read on your iPad. I can see a voracious, news hungry back to front reader parting with that kind if money but as a casual news consumer that is just a bridge too far. I've uninstalled it and now use Flipboard and occasionally read the Times on my computer. If they ever create a more reasonable subscription model, I may be back.
