Prefer the book
Got this to add to my growing collection of anatomy apps. It's pretty good for what content there is. But there is a massive lack of content. Even though it is free, I will not be using it.

Poor search function
It looks like the search function will only give you the plate but not highlight the actual label on the plate. This is too bad, otherwise, I would for sure buy the $90 version.

Too limited
The free version is way too limited and the paid version ridiculously overpriced. Waiting on iBook2 to save me from these greedy publishers. The graphics look awesome and app easy enough to use.

Needs improving
This is an awesome concept, but I would discard this tool as a student or professor. I think this app is way too limited. This app would benefit if it had more diagrams and more close up pictures.

Amazing
Considering that the new "Netter's Atlas of Human Anatomy Pro" retails at about $150.00 new, there really shouldn't be any complaining about this free app (which I would have purchased for up to $20, it is THAT good). I would purchase the full version if I still worked in health care, instead of just helping my kids study for Anatomy/Physiology exams, and when my husband's boards come up, I probably will get the full version to help him study, too. We have at least 4 of the giant, "Atlas of Human Anatomy" books (with plates) floating around the house, and they are fun to look, but it's WAY easier to use the iPad version. I agree with the previous reviewer about the quizzes. They make this app worth the download, even without all of the other (truly great) features. And if you don't like it…jeez. It's free! Delete it! This is a home run, IMO.

Very detailed
This app is excellent for it to be free. I could see this being utilized in nursing or medical school to allow students to easily learn all of the parts of human anatomy that they need to for tests and day-to-day activities on the job. Notes can be taken, bookmarks can be added, quizzes are available, and very detailed labeling is given to users of this app free. The full version of this atlas does cost $89.99, but the free version has a lot to offer (14 of the 531 plates offered in the full version) to distance education students.
