Update FAIL
The update with iPhone 5/iOS 6 support will not connect to the Internet. Now my thermostat can only be controlled by the unit. Way to go Nest/Apple! It changes everything!

Great product..app ok
Would like to be able to set temp for a certain time but it not be added to the schedule. A one time setting for special occasions or cool to at ___time. Otherwise not bad...room for improvement.

Love the Nest, App needs improvement
On the iPad: A LOT of wasted screen real estate. As other reviewers said, the "At a glance" info should be right there, on the home screen "at a glance". Why call it at a glance when you have to dig two menus down? Room for improvement: More info on the main screen, please. Otherwise a great beginning and a must have.

App needs improvement
First of all, the Nest thermostat it self is spectacular. This review in no way reflects the hardware itself or its usability. The iPhone on the other hand leave a little to be desired. My biggest complaint is having to put my phone in to landscape mode to have full usability of the app. I tend to keep my phone locked in portrait mode and its kind of a pain to unlock it every time I want to switch between heating and cooling.

<3 my nest, app needs more work.
I had shipping problems with my nest order too but they were resolved and this isn't the place to discuss that. The nest is super easy to install, but again out of scope of an app review. As far as this app: Having control of our thermostat via iOS is very cool. Critical data is hidden under a menu, "At a Glance" while a ton of real estate empty. This is data you always want at hand. More info about external weather could be exposed. While clever, there's a lot you can only find by a discovery process. In other words, not instantly intuitive. The current home temperature isn't shown on the app icon which would be a nice touch.
